Liquor Liability[ Back ]

Unfortunately, fatalities and serious injury resulting from intoxicated individuals have become tragically common. Also unfortunate is the fact that such tragedies often stem from the restaurants and bars where the liquor is consumed.

Simply stated, liquor liability cases involve businesses that sell alcoholic beverages and liquor. In Florida, restaurants, stores and any other business that provides alcoholic beverages either as a service or for sale, is required to carry liquor liability insurance.

In many cases, poor policies employed by store and restaurant owners and/or their employees results in the sale of alcohol to an underage minor. Tragedy often results when such minor drives home while under the intoxicating influence of alcohol. Such minors are often injured or killed themselves. Such minors often injure or kill others in their path. In Florida, serving alcohol to a minor that is known to be underage is a crime.

At Mark Roman Law Group we have extensive experience in this area of the law. We have successfully represented clients whose underage children lost their lives after being served alcohol by employees of a restaurant who knew they were underage. These tragedies can be decreased in number when restaurants are held accountable for their poor policies and negligent supervision of its employees. We are honored to be part of this fight. Representing families in their most dire hour of need is what we do.

Additionally, it is a crime in our state to sell alcohol to an individual who is known to abuse alcohol. Such sale often results in the individual becoming intoxicated and then injuring or killing either him or herself on the way home, or by injuring or killing someone else.

Also, it is a crime for bar, restaurants and liquor stores to sell alcohol to an individual who is clearly already visibly intoxicated. Tragically, this results in thousands of individuals who have suffered catastrophic injury or death due to the unprofessional sale of alcohol to visibly impaired individuals. Such unprofessional actions shall not go unpunished. The costs associated with medical treatment should not be paid by the victim. At Mark Roman Law Group we make it our primary objective to help victims and their families recover from the physical, emotional and financial damage sustained by such an injury or death. We do this by providing compassionate and aggressive legal counsel. Feelings of grief may never go away, but Mark Roman Law Group strives to overcome the fears associated with an insecure future.

Our Mission at Mark Roman Law Group is to provide compassionate, aggressive, results-oriented representation to those in need because... We Really Care.
