
Kathy has been employed as a paralegal with the Mark Roman Law Group since 2003. Prior to that, she was employed at an insurance defense firm and at personal injury firms in the Clearwater area. She has over 12 years experience in plaintiff’s personal injury cases from initial client contact through trial. She received her A.S. degree in Legal Assistance from St. Petersburg College. Kathy has lived in Pinellas County since the age of 3. She and her husband, Mike, have two wonderful boys.
Grace is a paralegal with Mark Roman Law Group. She has been in the legal field working with attorneys in the Tampa Bay area since 1984. Her areas of practice include family law, criminal, and personal injury.
Her principal area of practice at this firm is in personal injury litigation. Grace assists the attorneys in the firm with all aspects of civil litigation from the inception of suit through trial, including discovery requests, fact investigation, scheduling depositions, medical investigation and document productions regarding slip-and-falls, motor vehicle accidents and other types of accidents involving severe injuries and/or death.
Grace is also bilingual and assists our spanish-speaking clients with their pending cases.
Cate Nease joined Mark Roman Law Group in 2004. She has more than 20 years experience as a paralegal. For the last ten years, she has specialized in tort law including personal injury, medical negligence, and chemical exposure. Cate’s previous legal work included real estate law, corporate law, office management, and working for the Florida House of Representatives. Her knowledge and abilities encompass case management from the initial contact with a firm client through trial. She has attended continuing education seminars and is a certified legal assistant. Cate has the experience, patience, and compassion that this firm values. She lives with her husband, Dave, and two children in Largo, Florida.
Carol-Lynn Roman is a native Floridian who has lived in Pinellas County her entire life. She graduated from Dunedin High School in 1991. She attended Stetson University in Deland on academic and service organization scholarships and graduated from The University of South Florida in 1995 with a degree in Mass Communications. She also received a minor degree in Political Science. Carol-Lynn began working in the legal field as early has high school and continued in the field throughout her education. She utilized her education in gaining management positions in Bay Area law firms and has been the Firm Administrator of Mark Roman Law Group since its inception.
Carol-Lynn has extensive training and experience in litigation support and, in particular, the jury selection process. When she is not assisting in trial, Carol-Lynn handles all aspects of the firm management including marketing and client relations.
Carol-Lynn is a recent graduate of the prestigious Leadership Pinellas program. She is on the Board of Directors of the Homeless Emergency Project and has held leadership roles with the foundations of Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital and Morton Plant Mease’s Arbor Vitae Society Membership Committee, which she co-chaired and directed numerous fundraisers and receptions.
Carol-Lynn has 2 daughters and resides in Tarpon Springs, Florida with her husband of 10 years.
